Pricing + Fees

  • We require a $45 non-refundable registration fee per family per year upon registering for classes.

  • We base tuition on a per-hour basis. The amount of tuition due each month depends on how many hours of class your dancer(s) take each week. We discount each subsequent hour of classes our dancers take. In addition, we offer a 10% discount on each sibling after the first.* Prices per hour are listed below**:

1 hour per week - $72 per month

1.5 hours per week - $98 per month

2 hours per week - $125 per month

2.5 hours per week - $150 per month

3 hours per week - $170 per month

3.5 hours per week - $185 per month

4 hours per week - $195 per month

4.5 hours per week - $200 per month

5 hours per week - $210 per month

5.5 hours per week - $215 per month

6 hours per week - $220 per month

6.5 hours per week - $230 per month

7 hours per week - $235 per month

7.5 hours per week - $240 per month

8+ hours per week- $250 per month

*For example, if the Smith family has 2 dancers, Charlie and Alice that take 1 hour each, Charlie’s tuition will be $72 per month, and Alice’s tuition will have the 10% discount and be $64.80. The Smith family will pay $136.80 per month for both dancers to take lessons.

**We believe that dance is for everyone and strive to make lessons accessible to every family. We do offer tuition assistance on a case-by-case basis. Please email hello@thriveschoolofdance.com if you’re interested in assistance.

  • Each holiday season, we offer an optional additional performance opportunity to all students. This community-focused performance tour allows for a low-pressure commitment with ZERO (yes, you read that right) extra rehearsals outside of class. We perform at local holiday events around town as well as non-profits and assisted living facilities. The cost to participate is $40 per dancer and includes a costume rental.

  • There are two fees associated with participating in our annual, non-ticketed recital:

    Recital fee: $68 per family

Costume fees: Each costume costs between $72 - $75. We do our very best to minimize this cost to families while adjusting to fluctuating distributor costs each year. We want our dancers to be able to participate in this show. If costumes are extremely cost-prohibitive, please talk with a staff member and we will work with you to find a solution.

Thrive Policies

  • Consistent with our professional approach to dance education, we require our students to adhere to the following dress code:

Base Dress Code (students aged 3 to 9)

We require our younger dancers to wear any solid color leotard and tights. Ballet skirts are allowed for ladies and black shorts or pants are allowed for gentlemen. We prefer pink or flesh tone ballet shoes and black tap shoes. For dancers taking jazz, we prefer black jazz shoes. We ask that all hair be pulled back away from the face. To maintain professionalism and safety, we do not allow bare tummies or legs, or baggy clothing.

    Leotard example

Mid-level Dress Code (Intermediate + Advanced Intermediate students):

We require dancers in the intermediate and advanced intermediate levels to wear a solid color leotard and tights. Ballet skirts, dance shorts, solid color leggings, or dance pants are allowed as layers in addition to the leotard and tights. We prefer pink or flesh tone ballet shoes, black tap shoes, and black jazz shoes. Hair must be secured in a bun for ballet and a bun or ponytail for tap and jazz. To maintain professionalism and safety, we do not allow bare tummies or legs, or baggy clothing.

Company Level Dress Code (Junior Company, Senior Pre, Apprentice, and Senior Company dancers):

We require all company dancers to wear a solid color leotard as a base layer for all classes. To maintain professionalism and safety, we do not allow bare tummies or legs, or baggy clothing. Hair must be secured in a bun for ballet and away from the face (bun, ponytail, braids, etc.) for all other styles. See below for style-specific requirements in addition to the mandatory leotard:

    • Ballet and pointe: Tights are required and skirts are allowed. We prefer pink or flesh tone split-sole ballet shoes.

    • Jazz: Solid color tights or leggings/pants and form-fitting tops are allowed. We prefer black split-sole jazz shoes.

    • Tap: Solid color tights or leggings/pants and form-fitting tops are allowed. We prefer black tap shoes.

    • Modern: Solid color tights or leggings/pants and form-fitting tops are allowed. No shoes are required.

    • Hip Hop: Solid color tights or leggings and form-fitting tops are allowed. Other layers are allowed at the teacher’s discretion.

  • Tuition payments are due on the first Monday of each month. We will assess a late fee of $35 after the 15th of the month, then a $50 late fee at the end of the month if a balance still exists. Families will get email reminders for any late tuition payments.

We encourage families to pay online and take advantage of the auto-pay feature to avoid late fees.

Thrive now offers payment plans and up-front payment options for additional costs throughout the year like recital and costume fees, extra performance opportunities, etc. Families can select their desired payment plan online upon registering for classes.
