Welcome home.

Quality dance training in a safe, uplifting, empowering community.

Quality dance training and education for students of all ages in a safe, uplifting, empowering community. We put our dancers and families first and honor our JoAnn Fryrear School of Dance roots.

Our Values.

For 70 years, JoAnn Fryrear School of Dance has been home to so many. We couldn't be more humbled and honored to continue the legacy, community, and dance traditions that the Fryrear family has built as we welcome you all under a new name. So while you might see a new name on our door, know that you will still be walking into the community that was built on and will continue to operate by these core values:

  • Quality Training and Education. Our students receive individualized, professional dance education and training from our talented, experienced staff. We offer many different paths for students to help them reach their goals. Want to get into a great collegiate dance program? Let's make it happen! Want to dance just for fun? We've got just the classes for you.

  • Community First. At the heart of every decision we make is our community - our students and our dance families come first. From the staff we hire to the songs we use in class, we've got you in mind.

  • Safety Minded. We place a great emphasis on correct alignment and age-specific technical progression and strength and mobility building to keep students physically safe and create a welcoming, non-competitive, encouraging atmosphere to keep students emotionally safe. Rest assured that when you drop your child off at class they're entering a space that was built for them.

  • Do The Right Thing: Integrity is the foundation for everything we do. Families trust and respect us for our commitment to honesty, trust, and transparency. We do the right thing — even when no one is watching.

  • Humbly Confident. We strive to build not only technical and creative excellence in our students, but also instill a sense of humble confidence that will carry on outside of the classroom. We promote body positivity in our students and believe that dance is for everybody and everybody. One of our favorite things to remind our dancers is that they can do hard things.

  • Give Joy: We laugh. We express gratitude, we learn and have fun while doing it. We love making people feel good about being a part of our family.

  • We help each other thrive. We show up as real, vulnerable, transparent human beings who speak from the heart, value others’ contributions, and invest in each other’s growth.
